Stress Relief

Oh what a relief it is, when you have the time and energy for it that is.

We all have to face stress, no matter who we are, what age or where we live. Everyone has different levels of tolerances to cope with stress. It's when we reach that level things feel like they are falling apart.

Stress effects us in many different ways, however the main way it effects us is our immune system response. Study after study have shown that stress can reduce our body's ability to fight off infections and other various threats[1].

In this ever fast paced world many of us do not have the time to exercise or participate in stress reduction programs.

Is there a simple way to reduce the negative effects of stress?

A stress test was recently independently conducted on subjects who were on a Transfer Point Beta Glucan base protocol. The results showed that the glucan significantly increase general health in highly stressed individuals.

The double-blind study measured various markers that are shown to appear in highly stressed individuals. These markers included upper respiratory tract infection symptoms, which are normally associated with flu's and colds. Psychological well-being was also reviewed, including levels of vigor, tension, mental clarity and fatigue.

In comparison with the placebo group, the Beta Glucan group reported:

  • 42% increase in vigor;

  • 38% reduction in fatigue;

  • 19% reduction in tension;

  • 15% reduction in stress-induced confusion

The group on the Beta Glucan protocol also reported fewer incidents of nasal congestion, runny nose, sore throat, sneezing, cough, fatigue, headache, general malaise and body aches. 28% of the placebo group reported upper respiratory tract infection symptoms, whereas the Beta glucan group only reported 8% of the symptoms after four weeks of treatment.

VitaminPROS Beta 1, 3-D Glucan is not a treatment for any disease or condition. Beta Glucan is an immunomodulator that has been shown to support immune system function.
